Welcome to CBD Essential’s CBD FAQs. Here we answer the most common questions we get from customers. We hope this can provide useful information to help guide you in your CBD journey.

What is CBD?

CBD is the counter compound to THC in the marijuana plant. Meaning, it’s the second most common one. CBD stands for cannabidiol.

Will CBD get me high?

No, CBD cannot get you high. CBD or Cannabidiol is one compound from the marijuana plant, while tetrahydrocannabinol or THC is another. These are the two most common, but there are many more. CBD can be extracted with little to no amounts of THC, meaning you’ll get all the benefits of the hemp plant, but won’t experience a psychoactive effect.

Is CBD legal?

Yes, CBD is legal, but not in all 50 states. When the 2018 Farm Bill was passed into law, it was left to states to make the determination whether or not hemp derived products would be legal. There are currently 36 states that allow legalized medical marijuana usage and 14 more that allow the use of CBD products.

Can I take CBD everyday?

Yes, CBD is safe to take daily. In fact, it should be taken daily to feel the effects and benefits. What you should take into consideration is dosage. It is recommended to take no more than 40-60 mg per day of CBD.

Will CBD show in a drug test?

No, CBD will not show in a drug test. However, it is important to understand that there are CBD products that will contain THC and it’s possible that can show in a drug test. Be sure to check any lab reports or ask the company directly if there is THC in their products.

What is the difference between Full-Spectrum and Broad Spectrum?

Full-spectrum CBD contains trace amounts of compounds in the cannabis plant. This means it can contain THC, but for most states can only contain less than .3% to be considered legal.

Broad-spectrum means it has no THC, but may also not be 100% CBD because it contains other compounds of the cannabis plant.
